English & Mathematics Assessment (Accuplacer)

Accuplacer Online is a computer-adaptive English and Math assessment tool that is approved by the State Chancellor's Office.  Students will be doing this assessment on a computer.  The test is untimed, however most students will take approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete both the English and math portions of the test. Calculators are not needed for the test.

Results from the assessment along with other information provided by the student will be used to determine appropriate English and Math course placement.

Ability to Benefit Test

For students who do not have a high school diploma or equivalent and would like to qualify for financial aid, we provide a test to determine if the student meets the criteria to be eligible for aid. Students are usually referred by the Financial Aid Department for this test. This is a pass or fail test and is done by appointment only.  Please contact the Assessment Center to make an appointment.

Vocational/Career Testing

The Strong and Myers-Briggs tests are available on a referral basis only. If  you are already working with a counselor, you could ask your counselor for a referral. Please contact the Counseling Division to make an appointment with a counselor for career counseling.
