Go to the login page http://clpccd.blackboard.com. Add this address to your Favorites or Bookmark it, otherwise you may end up having to login twice each time if you save any other page.
Username: Your User Identification Number, which is a unique number beginning with W and containing 8 digits.
Password: the first two letters of your first name, followed by the first two letters of your last name (all lowercase), followed by the last four digits of your User Identification Number.
For example, Maria Valdez with a User Identification Number of W12345678 would log in as:
- Username: W12345678
- Password: mava5678 (all lowercase letters + last four digits)
Click Login.
*NEW* Beginning on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, we will be debuting our new web portal called The Zone, which includes campus-provided emails. All of the student emails in Blackboard are going to change to the new email format. The email listed for you in the Zone will be the email address posted in Blackboard. If you would like to use another email address, you will no longer change it in Blackboard - you will change the email address in the Zone. Learn about accessing your Zone email account.
- OPTIONAL: Click Change Password.
- Enter your own unique password in both password fields.
- Click Submit at the bottom. At the next two screens, click OK.
If you forget your password, click on “Forgot Password” or request a password re-set from the Help Desk.
You should be at the "My Institution" page (if you’re not sure if you’re at this page, click the “My Institution” tab at the top left). Look to the far right under “My Courses” and click on a course link to enter a course site. Once in each course site, click on each menu item (button) to become familiar with the contents posted by your instructor.
You are now ready to begin your course!
