Respondus: Creating and Managing Exams & Surveys in Blackboard

Learning Units and other Downloadable Materials

MERLOT is a free and open resource of downloadable learning units and other materials designed primarily for faculty and students of higher education. Links to online learning materials are collected here along with annotations such as peer reviews and assignments. You are welcome to browse the collection or search for materials. Members may add materials, comments and assignments to MERLOT. Membership is free.

Audio/Video/Multimedia Web Conferencing

CCCConfer. Making meetings work. Funded from a grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, and located at Palomar College in San Marcos, CCC Confer was designed to allow communication and collaboration for all staff, faculty and administrators in the California Community Colleges system. , Uses the latest Web conferencing technology, Horizon Wimba and is ADA and Section 508 accessible. Options:

Where to begin? View the list of archives and click on a topic (each lasts about 1 hour) to view an archived @One session, such as on podcasting. session (you will be asked to run the setup wizard). Concern of it's use from one instructor during a call: "Students are more likely to have a microphone that costs $7 than have high speed access and an available phone line. If they have dialup internet then they need two phone lines to use the system."

A Blog is your easy-to-use web site, where you can quickly post thoughts, interact with people, and more. All for FREE. An excellent use of constructivism for students, such as portfolios and journaling. Each journal entry has the ability for an instructor to post a comment.
