1:
OPEN ADMISSION
Community colleges were created to give you the chance to reach your educational goal no matter what stage of life you are in. You only need to be 18 or older (or have a high school diploma or equivalency) to be eligible to attend.
2: AFFORDABLE TUITION
An education at Chabot College is the best buy in higher education today! Compare Chabot's annual tuition (approx. $700 a year) with the California State University system ($2,800), the University of California system ($6,500), and the private colleges ($24,000 and up). We also offer generous financial aid packages which make an already affordable education even more so!
3: EASY TRANSFER
Community college students are the #1 choice for transfer by the CSU and UC systems because they are so well prepared. With an excellent academic reputation, Chabot has transfer agreements with numerous colleges and universities throughout California.
4: JOB SKILL TRAINING
If a four-year college is not for you, we have many programs that will allow you to earn a degree and find a job in approximately two years. Meet the demands of the future workforce by becoming an auto mechanic, nurse, firefighter, medical assistant, dental hygienist, accountant, machine tool worker, interior designer, and many other fast-growing careers.
5: CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Still in high school? Get a head start on college! You can take free college classes during your junior and senior years in high school and earn valuable college credit. All you need is your high school counselor's approval. You will be ahead of the game when you enroll at Chabot or another college as a freshman!
6: SERVICES & ACTIVITIES
Chabot College wants to help give you an all-around college experience. We have counseling, tutoring, and career and transfer information to help you succeed, and we have clubs, sports, concerts, plays, barbecues, and many other exciting events to be sure you have fun!

We offer a variety of schedules to meet your needs, whether you are a full-time student or a working parent. We have evening, weekend, and short-term classes, and a variety of schedules and programs to choose from. We also have an extensive selection of online classes so you can learn right from the comfort of your own home!
8: VARIETY
Choose from more than 100 associate degree and certificate programs and thousands of classes, from astronomy to music to welding. You can earn a degree or certificate, upgrade your job skills, find a new career, or enrich your life by learning something new. If you are a new or re-entry student, we offer short-term classes such as College Study Skills and Women in Transition.
9: QUALITY
Classes are taught by our outstanding, dedicated faculty (no graduate assistants!) who care about your future and emphasize teaching, not research. Instructors have conveniently scheduled office hours if you need help. In addition, Chabot offers small class sizes so you will get the kind of personal attention that breeds success.
10: DIVERSITY
Chabot attracts students from many backgrounds and walks of life. Spend some time on campus and you'll hear more than 40 languages spoken. Chabot offers international students a variety of services to help become accustomed to campus life and to meet friends.
You will even have a chance to start your own club!
